The Local Historian's Glossary of Words and Terms
Joy Bristow first compiled this Glossary in the late 1980s from a collection of ancient words she drew up while studying for the Advanced Certificate in Local History at the University of Nottingham. Since then she has added many more words and some new topics making her book, with its thoroughly readable style, and increasingly popular and valuable reference guide for both the local and family historian.
