The new Woodhorn Museum in Northumberland is planning an oral history project focusing on Bevin Boys and wants to make contact with former Bevin Boys or people who worked alongside them. Project Leader Geraldine Hunwick says the Museum is keen to make oral history recordings of former Bevin Boys who worked in Northumberland collieries and to find original photographs of Bevin Boys with a view to copying them so that they can be added to the Museum’s collections. Geraldine says ‘We can interview people either on site or elsewhere and want to hear from as many people as possible’. For further information please contact Geraldine Hunwick, tel: 01670 528051, email : ghunwick@woodhorn.org.uk, www.experiencewoodhorn.com.
