The Local History Directory

For the most part, these are county based local history associations, but in some parts of the country there are local history umbrella groups covering towns and conurbations.

Entries are arranged in county order. Each entry begins with the name of the association, followed by the (year) it was founded, information about periodicals published (issues per annum and price) and the name and address of the association's contact.

Entries for associations which maintain lists of local history societies in their area begin with a hash symbol (#).
